Posted by kinkopy, Jan-16-07 07:03 AM
Ok Ive already checked all fuses and the 3 pin speed sensor on the back of the block i took that out and it was super corroded where the wire plugs in and i cleaned it good and put it back in i didnt understand how to get the gear out of the hole so i just seperated it. also i tried a different gauge cluster from another car. anyone else know of something im over looking? I wanna buy a new speed sensor but them shits are 100$ ;[ it would be cool if i could just fix this one if thats the problem

Please don't tell me that you dropped that plastic gear in the trans!! You will have to drop the tranny and open it up to get that gear back, cause now your speedo will never work.

Uh, no. You're wrong there. it WILL come out, you just have to be careful with it.

Chances are, it's not on there correctly now, and as such, you're hosed.
