Trying to install a walbro 255 pump. The pump is in the tank and making noises, but it is not pumping any fuel. There are three parts left which I did not use. One is a o-ring and the other two a two round plastic pieces. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

Check this out man. Using the search function I found a PLETHORA of answers to your question. Click the search function at the top of the forum, type in "walbro 255" or "fuel pump install" etc...select "subject only" then select "search all forums" and voila. Those links have to do with fitment problems. Mine is in the tanks making noises but not pumping any fuel.

Then you have an installation problem. Did you have any specific troubles with install?

How do you know your not getting any fuel? Did you hook up a fuel pressure gauge to the fuel rail? Does it prime when turn the key? You need to be more specific so we can help you out.

Does any one what voltage the fuel pump should be getting? Turns out I had a couple of problems. I have them all fixed except a voltage issue. My pump is getting. 0.08v. It makes noises when you turn the key on, but will not start. I hooked it straight to the battery and the car started no problem.

should get appx 12v. if you have no voltage at the pump. Check for voltage to and through the fuel pump relay.

Very possibly a relay failure

That's what is was thinking. If I were to hook it straight to the battery and drive it like this would it harm the pump (only until I get a relay).

The questions most mechanics attempt to answer first, "is there spark?" and "is there fuel?" will often lead to solving most basic problems. For ignition system diagnosis and testing, please refer to the information on engine electrical components and ignition systems found earlier in this guide. If the ignition system checks out (there is spark), then you must determine if the fuel system is operating properly (is there fuel?).

Check out the ASD relay like Terry mentioned. Also make sure the wiring is not broken somewhere.
