well, I bought the venom intake manifold and fuel rail yesterday. 4 hours later, I took them both back. everybody that knows me can probably stop readign right there, but to those that don't know mine or venom's track record, keep reading

first off the venom fuel rail
Well, the rail is very shiny, and from my previous description, pretty impressive..........on teh outside. As some of you know, my car has -8AN fuel lines running to a stock modified fuel rail (the exterior of my rail has the same treatment as my intake manifold, turbo, piping, etc, etc, etc). It's no slouch on looks either. The first problem with the venom fuel rail is that only one side si threaded (regulator side), and unless you tap the other side, you can't run dual feed on it. The fittings and all looked like they woudl work fine hooking up to a stock fuel system, not much else 'though. ALSO, the rail holds about a third the ammount of fluid than the stock rail..it is a JOKE. when you blow through it, it makes flute noises (i.e. air is being rushed pretty fast). those 2 facts determined the fate of that part. back to the store

next the venom manifold
Well, I bought the manifold knowing that it was not plummed for ANY vaccuum hoses, lines, sensors, egr, or ANYTHING. I also bought ti knowing that the ports on the plate that bolts to the head were small and needed grinding, I also bought it knowing that it is 1 piece instead of 2 making ti extremely difficult to install inside the car. I thought I coudl work these problems out. FIRST fatal problem was that the manifold wont' even fit in the car without relocatign teh throttle pulley box on the passenger side. the plenum takes up part of it's space and WILL NOT fit. secondly, the plenum goes almost all the way to the firewall, and will hit it with stock motor mounts. I am almost assured of that. third off, I had to remove the 2 manifold studs that were from teh factory to slip the assembly down there, fourth off, the stock fuel rail woudl not fit on the manifold without fabrication (spacers between the rail bracket and the rail). that was the last straw for me, so it had to go. The only way I woudl recommend that manifold to someone is if they were building a big 420A with like a LOT of engine bay room (i.e. rwd or motor swapped BIG car). I wouldn't reccomend the fuel rail unless you ONLY show yoru car, and it has no performance modifications. It looks like I am keepign my factory manifold and rail a bit longer ;)
