I saw this in another thread and am wondering what the fix is for the situation. Replace the ECU?

Very common with 95 ECU's. It's a factory defect in the ground traces. If you waited long enough, the board would cool down and start working again.

Cool. Just checking in case my car ever messes up again. It was doing this, but I messed with the wiring. Also had to replace the battery after it went dead. After these actions, no more problems. But I wanted to know just in case it acted up again.

it's not a problem that'll go away. once it starts showing these symptoms it'd be a good idea to salvage a used ECU while you can. one day it'll shut off and never wake up again. that's what mine did on the freeway after prom a couple years back. it kinda sucked. lol

but yea in the months leading up to that it had been randomly resetting and shutting off while driving.
