I've notice that both are the same type.would the 00 neon coilpack would work on a 97 Dsm to test it, or would destroy the ecu of the DSM. I know stupid question but someon asked me about it.

How in the holy hell could it destroy anything? It's the same coil.

Friend of mine told me that it might. Thanks, Darkone.

He needs to test his coilpack, I told him I could hook it up to mine. See, if its good, save him the drive to a parts store.

I'm crossing my fingers hope this coil is good, this can from there with his engine problems.

I have a '05 SRT-4 coil pack on mine b/c I sold one of my buddys my msd and needed a replacement so he gave me his. It has worked fine.
