Whats the best way to put in a Kill Switch?

do a search and you'll come up with options. But general consensus is to wire in a kill switch to the fuel pump.

i just spliced an on/off switch into the ground wire for the coil pack. so when the switch is off, the coil pack isn't grounded, and thus will not fire when you turn the key.

you could do the same thing with the wires on any number of other parts (fuel pump, starter, ecu, etc) but the coil pack seemed like the easiest and least stressful on the motor.

I cut into the positive end of the wires for the fuel pump, and ran it to the middle console. soldered in a push button and called it a day.

I cut into the fuel pump as well...less likely to be found that way.

Not to be a downer on you but you've probably made your coil work less efficently, putting more crap inbetween the coil and the ground power source creates resistance and thusly doesn't allow it to work as well. I've seen people run the ground on their coils direct to the battery ground and increase their horses in the neighborhood of 1-5 ponies, now this was hondas and nissans, but the ignition system we use isn't that far off in design.
