I dont think I'm getting any spark but I'm not sure about how to check if I am. Do you just place a spark plug in the boot and ground it to the exhaust manifold and try to start the car? I wasnt sure. Thanks for the help.

That will work...yup they also have a light you can plug into the cable that will light up when you crank the car over

I would ground it directly to the head, better continuity. do it in a very dark area too, sometimes spark can be hard to see

On the side of the head or on the valve cover?

side of the head, the gasket kills the continuity to the valve cover

ok I'll try that in a few minutes and I'll let you know if I'm getting spark.

ok i have no spark, i just replace the asd relay. still no spark. how do i test the coil? the car cranks but wont start and its getting fuel.

you can put a test light to the harness to the coil and see if it's getting power. also use a multimeter to ohm out the coil, I don't have the specs but if it measures too high or low you won't get any power out of it

dont have a test light but do have a multimeter can i check voltage at the plug using multimeter and if so should it be the same reading that the battery is getting

YOu should check your crank and cam sensor for 6.6v at crank...if there isn't voltage there check your ecu.

ok just checked the cam and crank sensors i have 7.45 volts at both of them and nothing going into the coil pack. Does that mean the ecu is bad or could it be a short in the wire somewhere?
