Where exactly is the heater core located cause i have to take one out of my old car and put it in the body i changed the stuff over to.
Also when my car is moving and i take it out of gear it stays steady on 2000rpms until i come to a complete stop is that normal? I don't remember if it is.. What could be causing this ?

My car does that too. I don't know if it's normal. YOu may have a hard time getting any good answers from anyone around here.

The heater core is way up in the passenger side dash near the glovebox, if I remember right. As for your RPM's, I wouldn't worry too much about it. If I drive my car today, I will pay attention and see if mine does it. 2K isn't a crazy high number, I'd be worried if it were up around 3-3.5K

Yeah that's good. I'm sorry, this is actually the most informative forum I've been on, as far as 420a's are concerned.

I still don't like my car idling at different rpm's whenever it feels like it. Doesn't napa have pretty good parts, I'll see how much they have one for, to avoid satan.

As far as I know, the ECU takes information from the speed sensor to tell if the car is still in motion. When I put the clutch in on my car, coasting to a stop, my engine will hang around 2000rpm until the car comes to a complete stop. It might be a dirty IAC, but I've just come to terms with it. My car has done this so long, I can't remember if it's normal or not. :shrug

I'm leaning towards it's probably normal, because my car does the exact same thing... it will stay about 2k rpms as I'm coasting in neutral, and then once the car is completely stopped then the rpms drop the rest of the way.

I've mostly seen around 1500 with the 99 GS I drive. 2GNT's are weird like that. My Neon drops right to 800-900 when coasting. :shrug

I also get 1500-2000 rpms while coasting. It probably does that "thinking" that you are going to put it back into gear.

It does. They all do that. Unplug your speed sensor and go drive it - as soon as you're on the clutch, it'll drop straight back to 900RPM.

My atx does that 900rpm all the time abit more when coasting but at stop it idles at 900 RPM. Sorry for bumping on here or brought an old thread up I was doing a search about heater core and thought this looked intresting.

The Core is behind the radio if I'm wrong sorry
