so for the 60k service, im swappin out the fuel filter and doin the fule pump rewire mod. i stopped at autozone, and they gave me a white box that said good for 10,000miles, and i handed it back to them, said thankyou and walked out.

i wanna know which one works well with our fuel system, and maybe a link to a vendor who sells it.

the one at autozone was ~28 bux.

I just used the one from pep boys, it was around $30 also and it looked just like the one that was there on the car already but I didn't see anything about 10,000 miles.

i got mine from auto zone too.. still in the box im a lazy ass.. well its cold outside.. ahah.. but it was about 14 i think.. and the box was white and it said every 10k.. i was like hmm.

maybe its a conspiracy by the gas comp... they just want us to buy more gas.. hmmmmmm

I think fuel filters are pretty generic. I bought mine from pep boys and I think its like a standard 10-15K miles. The reason I think they're pretty generic is because if you check out aftermarket stores they sell 'chrome' fuel filters that fit a variety of applications. The manufacturer of thoses fuel filters go by fuel line nut size. Just my 2 cents.

the reason for not buyin the 10k one is cuz it is stated in the service meanual to change it at 30k intevals.

would it be a big problem if i went with the 10k, and didnt change it??

I think it's all in how you drive it. If you drive heavy then you should replace it every year 10-15k miles. Different manuals say different things. I owne Haynes and Chiltons manuals for the cars in my family (Toyota, Honda, Isuzu, Mitsubishi) One says firmly 30,000 when reading the instructions for proper fuel filter removal, the other says depending on use in the maintenance charts 15k, respectively.
