no you cant bend it to fit
most radiator hoses are pre molded PER application so they can be routed around things that might rub or burn through them. kinking a preformed one will screw your fow through your system and can cause hot spots, general over heating or hose rupture.

overbraids are easy to find and can make your radiator hose look like a true SS line and add some bling to your engine bay.
you can get basic kits from autozone or advance. there are even kits from Aeroquip and Earl's if you want a better kit.

i had bad luck with my OBX one.
my upper one split right at the frist bend, and not a tiny hole mind you it was a 2 inch split.

but other people have had good luck with em

like most OBX products its gonna be a 50 50 shot. most people have no problems but some just dont have luck with them

If you are worried about heat issues I just wrapped a stock hose in thermal wrap because it almost touches the downpipe.

Don't buy the red OBX ones, they are more orange than anything.

I love my Blue OBX radiator hoses, no problems as of yet...over 5k with them, and they look great. They withstand heat well to as I have overheated my car twice with them on!!! haha my bad!
