Is there a trick to remove the single bolt on the ECU connector? I tried removing the bolt, but it just keeps turning and doesn't back out. :scratch

:wary I don't recall there being a bolt on the ECU connector(s). They snap on and off.

Mine's a 1995 and it has a single bolt that connects the wiring harness to the ECU. I believe they changed the ECU's in 1996

Someone probably stripped out the threads in the hole. I mean it is plastic. Mine came right out without any promblems.

The bolt does not come out of the wiring harness. You unscrew the bolt until it is free from the ecu, and you just pull the harness away, with bolt in place. Hope this helps.

WOW! how ironic... i just had the same problem with mine today. That bolt was put in so tight the threads it threads into inside the ecu actually spin with it.

i can't believe that you had this same problem? Are you going to be switching your ecu with a new one?

A buddy and i had to acutally take the back of the ecu off... and drill into the threads that hold that bolt on. (the ecu was no good anyways) thats why i ask, cuz if its not... no sense in keeping it in good condition. Therefore, do what you gotta do ya know.

Goodluck, let us know what else you come up with. Mine did the same thing today and i might have to take it back off so if theres an easier way i would like to know.
