They work without the key in the ignition...WTF?? Any ideas?
nothing else works and I've looked into the wires to make sure everything is ok...and it is.
Strange.

If I had a battery in the car I'd check for you.

Just don't leave them on when your car is off.
Mine don't work without the key in.

All I can think of, is if someone was tampering with the wires before you owned the car and for some reason jumped the wire to the switch that was supposted to get a switchable 12V and instead jumped it with a constant 12V.

I'm the original owner of this car :-) I've never hacked or changed anything. All I do is store this car EVERY winter, and this winter she came out with this issue.
