found this site from that thread. Prices are great, but what are the brands they carry. In a month or so I'm replacing my radiator and possibly the condensor. This offers both at good price, can someone post a pic of the condensor and radiator plus, their racing raditor.
My plans is going N/a for now but later add a turbo. three brands might suit this is Viseton, KOYO and Fluidyne. Cimotorsports have Viseton at a good price. Found that Koyo are cheaper than Fluidyne but its from ebay. Where can find these three at a good price on the web, Actually pics would be great.

A/c question, I've been reading my Haynes book. The removel looks simple but would do guys use plug the hoses after the removal. Same for the condensor removal. I still would like to use my Defrost for the windows, so I might have to keep the Condensor on.

I heard that once the complete A/C is removed the Defrost can be used is this true?

once the A/C is removed the defrost will still work, just make sure that you put the system on fresh air otherwise it won't work well. the A/C kicks on to dry the air while the defrost setting is on to further prevent fogging and if you have no A/C it can't dry the air and the excessive moisture from your breathing, perspiring, jamming like a bad "american idol" contestant to your favorite music will fog up the windows that much faster

Wouldn't any aftermarket radiator be better than stock?


Even an aftermarket honda radiator. I considered it after seeing how much room you can have by putting one in.

Cool, thanks for the tip, but I be able use it for Daily driving,since my Eclipse is my daily driver. Our radiators are twice the size of the Hundaa I thought I saw a pic of your red Eclipse with the Honda radiator from another thread are you this dude.

As far as the Honda radiators being daily drivers; no problem. I did it on my daily for two years (the 97). I then put one on my current daily (96), no heat problems. I have had others do it on their 4g63's. The Acura/Honda guys use them on their turbo versions because of the space savings.

Nope. Not my car.

One will be going in one of these days though. They're readily available and availble cheap.

You can have a really big radiator that cant dissapate heat or you can have a really big radiator that does so but still cramps your engine bay. I'm trying to make as much room as possible under-hood like the D-series "hondaas" i'm used to working on.

C&R radiators are pretty good. Here is the link to them.

thanks Boosted, prices are decent +1 Cr rads. do look good but my Eclipse is an ATX, not MTX.
Could I use a mtx rad. for my Atx Eclipse or should I use one strictly for atx.

Not sure on that one. Not to savy with the atx setup of our cars.

CR site says MT only since they do not come with AT tranny cooler loop in the bottom tank of the radiator. Would not be good for your AT.

Radiatorbarn.com has one version that does either AT or MT. I've run one on my DD 420A turbo in Phoenix for two summers now. I paid $113 delivered to the door for an all metal radiator. Lifetime warranty.

I was looking at egay the other day I need a radiator for my GST. I found the godspeed radiators looked nice full aluminum 150+ 50 shipping or 400 for a fluidyne.(sp)

I'll take a look at it on ebay, thanks But not sure about your question I wouldn't risk it for your engine to overheat.

It might be ok if you have in front of your turbo. You might wanna post a question about it.

I have a godspeed fmic and I have had not one problem with it yet. The welds are very clean and they have excellent customer service. Godspeed makes quality products imo.

You could always add a separate transmission fluid cooler if the radiator is "M/T only."

that's what I was thinking. trans cooler kits are available for ~$50-75 at most local parts stores and you could run it side mount for better efficiency.

should be ok, just keep an eye on your temps.

dalesmitsu im in the same boat as you are. My radiator is already changing from black to brown. So i know its about to pop. Im also a atx guy thats about to go turbo. Let me know what you chose because i might fallow in your choice of radiator
