115050, new powersteering pump or belt? Posted by tearing.away, Jul-14-08 03:05 PM
I'm going to be buying a 95 talon esi bone stock, 5spd, at take-off in first or just really low speeds theres a very loud screeching, when I had my 92 tsi talon (both sat for about a year before being started)the tsi only did it for about a month then it just stopped, would that just be from the 95 sitting? or would it need to be replaced? or is it what I think it is?

Most likely you just need to inspect and tighten or replace the accessory belt. No biggie.

like Dino said, check the belt as well to make sure it's not getting old and hard, that'll make it squeal like a pig too.

old and hard?
Viagra?
Do what the op's said.
You should also see if there is side play in any of your pulleys as well.

spray some wd40 on the pulley it'll get you by till you fix it. Mine squeals when it rains or humid early in the mornign then it stops.
