What do you guys think of it?

What does it sound like with just the normal Pacesetter muffler? What kind of performance gains did you see?

Probably gonna get one from Summit Racing pretty soon, so just tryin to learn a bit more about 'em.

i would recommend it. i have the header and cat-back from pacesetter. i did have some custom work done to mine to make it all fit so i had a true 2.5in exhaust system from front to back. so mine might have a different sound than just the cat-back alone, but i was happy with the performance. as i said, i recommend it. Others on the sight give it a thumbs up as well. For the money, you cant do any better. its the cheapest best way to go...

A lot of guys get the pacesetter and do a little additional cust work to it. $100 on a universal muffler that looks good, especially compared to a big yellow tip. $15 for a cherry bomb muffler to go in place of the shitty sounding resonator (so I have heard). Pay a muffler shop $30 - $60 to weld the cut the pacesetter parts and weld them to the nice piping you get with the pacesetter.

I bought a pacesetter and it hasnt gotten here yet, but will I lose a lot of bottom end by going to 2.5"??

w/ pacesetter, it sounds good, and is easy to install. takin off the stock bolts is the tough part.

when plannin on a diff muff, if you dont like the one that comes with it, know that the resonator in the pacesetter sux, and it will really change the sound of your exhaust if you swap muffs.

i recommend the cherrybomb glasspack, a long one, if you choose to upgrade to a straight through muff.

easiest way to get 2.5 inch mandrel bends for a 2gnt is by gettin the pacesetter.

summit had it to my door in 4 days

i lost a lil bottom end, like it is sluggish to get to 3k, but im never under that when im racin. the gains at the top outweigh the ones lost on the low end.
highway driving is much more fun now.

cool, well im changing my muffler to a universal straight thru one, so where did you get the resonator from??? tia

any auto parts store (even GI Joes) has cherry bombs in assorted lengths for like 20 bucks.
