If you pulled the alarm out and have the same problem with the new ecu as the old ecu, I would say you have a short somewhere, or a bad relay. The wipers are not part of the ecu at all, so I would say maybe its wiring under the steering colum dash area. Hense right were the alarm ties in. Or the cluster board shorted out. But still the wipers are not on that board.

Your so called 'whippers' are not controlled by the ECU. Did you replace the ECU from the exact model year? Each year is different.

After buying the car, and prior to replacing the ECU, did you do any trouble shooting to find out what was bad with the ECU? What happened then when you attempted to start it? Or did you just take the guy's word for it and replace an expensive ass part without doing any investigating?

You need to fill us in with a lot more information before we can even begin to help.
114297, the whole story..

i only paid 140 bucks for the car...

i took the guys word that it was just the ecu.. i could NOT trouble shoot it beacuse it had NO ecu in the car.. he said he tossed it but took it to a few places they all said it was the ecu... i duno how if the car didnt run...

he siad he bought it drove t home.. then to the gas station and it died.

so i just got the car.. i fgured if i cannot get it running i can part it out for more than 140 bucks..

now...

i went and got a ecu from a buddy for 20 bucks he siad it worked when he pulled it out his parts car. it is for the same year 95 since thats the only year that would even fit.

i plugged it in and hooked up the battery and the whippers came on... im like wtf..

i get in when the key is off its normal. when i turn the key..
the temp gauge maxes out..
all the dash lights come on
the turn signals wont work
the car doesnt inguage the starter.
the fan comes on for the car
but the air doesnt

so i take out the alarm.. resplice the cut starter wire..
but still haveing the same problems...

i have no clue whats up..

so i get

95's have a few different ecu configurations depending on what the build date of your car is, and the ecu's are not compatible. Find out what month/year his donor is from. Then check your month/year. There is 3 sets of numbers on the ecu, 1 set has to match exactly, I dont remember what set though. Turn off your wiper switch.

You have an electrical problem potentially not related to the ECU at all. The issues you describe are in components aren't ECU-controlled.

Sounds like you a bad spliced/shared ground somewhere.

Start by pulling fuses. if the short is in a fused circuit, you'll find it that way.
114303, good call

so ..

my 120 amp alternator/choke fuse.. is popped...
i replaced it with a 60 (i only have 1 120 spare and i guessed it would pop it again)

so,., whats on this circut that i can check...
114304, also..

i just completely unplugged the ecu and it turned the fan off.. i pulled all he other fuses except the big ones.. ill go do that now..
and nothing made them go off except the dash fuse...

any more ideas? on all the lights.. i also need to get a new starter mines junk

Definitely a short. Start tracing wires...
