I wanted to know if anyone has ever attempted to replace the mast on a stock pwr antenna. I sure couldn't do it. :wallbash

Now, I either need to buy a new universal pwr antenna or go to the junkyard & hunt one down.

Anyone have some suggestions on what the best universal pwr antenna to use is? What have most 2gnt'ers used?

What exactly happened to your stock one? Junkyard would probley be your best bet

i have taken one apart and re-assembled it.....not hard but you need to be patient. What did you do to it?

Original pwr antenna stopped going up/down. I could only hear the motor going when radio turned on & off.

So, first I decided to replace the mast by removing it after disassembling the pwr antenna assembly, but I could not seperate the original mast from the antenna tube.

I finally forced the mast out & tube was too narrow for the new antenna mast (bought off of ebay).

Now I'm stuck with having to replace the entire pwr antenna assembly.

sucks!
