he is trying to tell me his auto 95 with 88k miles is faster than the f&f manual tranny with basically the same mods.

i just though it was funny, humor him by emailing him asking him silly questions lol

I don't know that injen cai and that crome'd out engine has to add 50+ HP and then the custom arm rest damm look out man he might have a 10 sec car.... lol

yeah, i've talked with him since my initial response, he seems like an ok guy, I just get tired of seeing fast and the furious crap on every attempt at a customized car... or "show car", a show car in my eye is one of very exceptional quality, not a car in the beginning stages of its metamorphesis... sorry to flame, sometimes i get bent and bored and since i have all these back probs and can't wrench on my baby, i get cranky.

But hey i use to be like that too. 97 auto RS... GS-T muffler....AEM CAI. But then reality hit me when a Lude burned me. At that moment I realized I should of gone turbo... tear tear. I was young and stupid.. Didn't know what a manual was.... :-(

I say it's cool. The car has a lot of work and looks pretty good. He shouldn't just say his car would beat a 5 speed tho. He has a short ram intake from the looks of it. It depends on the driver with auto or 5 speed a lot of times. It's really not good when a guy with a nice looking car thinks looks make it fast. I know I have a lot of style mods done to mine. I readily admit it isn't the best or the fastest. But I take pride in it. Some people just don't know what it's all about. Give props, not excuses IMO. Don't say your shit is faster when u dunno 4 sure.

You guys shouldn't go knocking kids by one time chatting with them....You guys know if you take an auto put a torque converter on it and mess with the gears you can stand up with a stock stick....

My car was meant for ALL SHOW NO GO.....That is why I am selling her to start over with PERFORMANCE first - everybody makes mistakes when they are young - this one was my first euro to do ....Learn as you go....But does not mean you got to go making fun of someone for not knowing what the heck they are doing.......By the way Brad you do have one nice car - it is the car that made me go from show 2 go....But I guess like you said it depends on the driver..

Oh and for you guys that say I didnt add my mileage on my add - it was because I couldnt figure it out - good with cars not computers - MY BAD

hey, I had your back. No need to get mad. Just chill. Everyone's tired of arguments. This post needs to be locked out. It is getting old that DSM's are picked on in a DSM chatroom. Chances are better that the owner may join up. This car looks good. Like my car, I have some performance stuff, but it isn't a rocket. It's mostly show. I give everyone on here props. Everyone needs to stop flaming other eclipses. And cars in general unless they are completely riced out and obviously riced out and not DSM's. People usuaully do not want a harsh opinion if they do not ask for it. SO don't start picking at their car. I know. People called me a ricer or whatever b4. I show it, I have trophies to show for it, and it has a few go fast parts, but nothing major yet. Maybe later on. Just chill on the ridiculous posts that pick on another guy's pride and hard work. If anything, if you don't like the car, just give the guy props for taking pride in it and trying. It's better than some can do. TIA. Sorry if this pisses anyone off, but it is better to be pissed off than pissed on IMO!

i'm not pissed so much that your a bull shitter cause your right an auto can be faster than a stick but it takes lots of money to mod it far enough. shogun_98rs (joe in houston dsm) is an auto with a hrc stage 4 and he paced vette's. it's possible just doesn't happen to often. what pisses me off is all the F&F hype. i hate when people use that movie or even bring it up whenit comes to buying/selling and eclipse. that movie has inspired ricers everywhere to argue with people like me who have took th time to learn what the fuck is goin on with an engine someone who's taken engine classes and can explain mathematically why vtec cars are slow even though they claim to put out high hp. i guess i'm soft onit cause i drive an eclipse and i actaully owned one before the movie came out and now that it's been out everyone checks me out and tries to race me and talks shit here and there about it.

before this gets locked, I just wanted to let trevor know that i appologize for clownin' around, we post fast and furious stuff and funny cars for sale and shit from ebay all the time.... kind of a way to pass time :-) i didnt know you were a group member, you car isnt bad looking, the work you've had done looks good n' all, we just get tired of fast and furious sometimes and i have been aweful bored lately. if you just got some muscle behind her she'd be alright, but a flashy car like that, i'd be scared to drive down the road for fear of everybody and their brother wanting a run on me and not being able to give em' what for.

where are those dyno numbers and timeslips, brad? i'm still waiting with a fresh pair of underwear to see those numbers.

Well, they are delayed a little bit longer now... I just totalled the Jeep Cherokee last night in a huge ditch... Damn black ice sucks :-( I'm alright though, just got some glass in my face and left side of my body, arms, leg, chest... minor bruises, but nothing broken, other than the Jeep... This year hasnt started out very well... The downpipe and exhaust is all being redone along with all new intercooler piping on Tuesday the 15th, then dyno tuning will come after I get the Jeep shit figured out...

dayam brad. at least it wasnt (gasp) the eclipse. glad ur ok and I also hope u get everything worked out.
