Bought my Magnaflow off of Eclipse804 and I love it! Has a deep low tone and my car felt a little peppier afterwards. I also got a good hookup deal on it so I am happy with it. But yeah get a Magnaflow.

Yup, I'm on my second magnaflow muffler, and I like it. I think it sounds better than flowmaster and dynomax.

Magnaflow makes hundreds of mufflers. The one in my pic is a Magnaflow Stainless Steel Mirror Finish Street Series muffler. The best place to get it is http://www.roadraceengineering.com. It's only 95 bucks there, and they have great service.

Couldn't find the Magnaflow on Road Race. Got a direct link?

Also how loud is the Magnaflow?? I want a pretty loud muffler...wondering if its the right one. :)

Is it better off getting the Magnaflow muffler and leaving the pipe size stock or getting the Pacesetter Monza 2.5" Cat-Back Exhaust???

Thanks.

Oh it's under Road Race's 3g eclipse section. I think it's http://www.roadraceengineering.com/3g.htm

The Street Series is pretty loud on a 4 cylinder car. It's not too loud, but loud enough. I personally would just stick to stock piping. I don't think a catback is really necessary on our cars unless you push major hp (since we have the same exact piping as a gst which has 210 hp).

Thanks....I guess I should save some money and pick up the Magnaflow Street Series muffler then hey?

Whats the difference between race and street series?

Also....that muffler will fit my 97 Talon hey?

<Edit> Just read it needs professional install....how much did install cost you guys at a shop??? Should I pick up a mandrel bent pipe to go with it?

Thanks</edit>

This is what i got... plus Custom 2.5" piping all for $208 at local muff shop

http://www.dynomax.com/ultrafloweld.stm

And to hear a sample sound... i know the sample is on a Honda... but you get the idea...

The Race Series does not have a small inner metal tube that the street series has. But the race series is too raspy and loud like a honda buzz for a 4 cylinder car. The Street Series is loud enough. It's a custom installation. A shop would charge you at MOST 50 to install it with press-bent piping from where they cut the stock muffler off. I don't think a mandrel bent piece is necessary unless you know the exact length, angle, piece that you need (RRE's install kit is perfect for the 3g, but I don't know what pipe we would need for a 2g).
