I love my 99 GS but for some reason I've been wanting a TSi. I love their high rise wings and because I don't see any Talons where I live. So I was just wanting to know if this is common for a N/T owner to want a turbo car tha bad? And how much would a Talon TSi(preferably a 2gb) cost? Should I do this?

I think its probably normal, that's why so many of us install turbos on our cars lol

you should just boost your gs, and put a tsi spoiler on it

I would stick with what you have and turbo it. A TSI could get crank walk and the 420a would be more reliable. It wouldn't be that hard to put a talon spoiler on it.

Since I've owned a few now, the 2Gb Talons are looking pretty sweet to me. It's nice that you don't see many of them around either...you get noticed.

you know, some of the non-turbo's had the hi spoiler.

This is true. Talons have always only had the one wing option. 97 & 98 ESi/TSi came with the same hi-rise. They are super bad ass, too.
Better bet to find the wing and install it on your current Talon. Picking up a clean 2G AWD car is still going to run more than $6k for a good specimen and then, as was mentioned, you get the least reliable/liked 4G63 ever manufactured. Not to mention you boosted FWD will go farther on a tank of gas than an AWD car. Smaller tanks and moar thirsties, imo.
I miss getting 450-500 miles to a tank of gas. I'm lucky if I can get to 300 on anything we own right now. (sigh)

Where would I get a High rise wing? I have already checked ebay and some of the vendors on dsmtuners but still no luck, maybe you'll can point me in the right direction. Thank you

:wavy Question!!! Its about the little window behind the main window on the passneger and drivers side. Is the molding a different shape on the talon? From the picture it looks shorter and stubbier. Were as the eclipses' full sized and pointy.
I love my car... I love Horsepower... I love reliability... So why do i own a DSM again?

The window was shaded differently and a mounlding was placed of the glass. The body window channel is the same. Not all Talons had it, some did some didnt. It wasnt stricktly and AWD option either, some non turbo's had it.
As far as a one spoiler option? Thats not correct. Talons had 2 spoilers to choose from, the low thumbnail spoiler and the hi rise star trek wing. You should be able to get it from any aftermarket body parts supplier. Call certi-fit.

Would it be possible to swap out the gas tanks from an N/T car into an 4g63 car, to get extra mileage from the AWD car ?

All 2G's have the same fuel capacity even though there are two tank setups (FWD or AWD).
A FWD tank will not fit anyway since there is center driveshaft on the AWD.

I would personally keep the eclipse and put a high rise talon spoiler on i think that looks sexy, that is if it fits but i am almost positive i have seen it before. Plus keep reping the 420a.

My 97 had those funky rear quarter moldings as well. At some point, they stopped doing that and just used the same thing as the Eclipse. Another tiny little detail differentiating the two cars.

1/4 glass? That odd 1/4 window design was only used on very early 1997 Talons (all models) and they quickly switched back to the normal 2G 1/4 window glass. People have tried to locate a replacement set for years but unless you get them from an existing car you are out of luck.
High-rise spoiler? If you can't find a used one you are also out of luck. None are available through parts suppliers.
