2.0 420a I put headers and a cat exhaust on my car and now it takes about 4 miles to warm up instead of a few blocks. Cold running causes the rich fuel mixture to trip my o2 check engine light sensor. No BFD but a real pain in the ass. Any suggestions? Should I just sit in front of the house for 15 minutes idling? (lol, NOT)

Cold running should not trip the O2 cel. you have an issue with something else and the exhaust just made it noticable. the exhaust is not the issue.

Post the actual code your getting.

you should prob wrap the headers though. that should help the warming up in 4 miles issues

Thanks, I'll post the code tomorow after I hit up the local Aamco. Not sure about the wrap-I'd rather avoid it if I can.

Hi Terry, yeah you were right. I got a code 442-general evap problem. A guy did a smoke test for me and said I had a hose that runs from the gas tank to the engine that was leaking vapors and tripping the check engine light. I guess it happened by coincidence along with the warm up change. Foggy said you just did some work on your tank. Any idea what hose that might be? I'm still waiting on a manual I ordered before I try to fix it. Thanks.
