Ok, I'm a wimp, I'd rather look into a high flow cat converter than a test pipe, so shoot me :)

What high flow cats are out there? (Besides Random Technologies, RRE's cat with no flanges) Are there others available besides these two?

Does anyone have any experience with either of these two (are they straight through? How much more SHOULD they flow compared to a stock one?) or any other high flow cats?

Any info would be good, for some strange reason I'm thinking about one of these for the future. Something about my car not being fast enough.

I have pacesetter. Bolt-on $100.

AHP has bolt on for GS-T, so you would need to cut and weld the flange at a different angle.

I talked to them about my custom piping and exhaust and they said they would make a set up for NT high flow cat if they had astock cat to get the angles off of, same with cat-back piping.

Cat back piping for a GST is a direct bolt on for a NT. Cat is probally also the same.

Cat is the same.

Go to any muffler shop and see if they sell one. A lot of them do.

Oh, I wimped out as well. I am running a 2.5" dp, 2.5" Random Tech cat, and a 2.77" exhaust. I actually want to pass emissions in GA. Of course it failed anyway. :(

You can get an OBX for $50, direct replacement.

I bought a CatCo high flow converter from a local muffler shop. 2.5" .. big sucker. Passed emissions with it twice now.

I thought the flange ate the rear of the cta was at a different angle between the NT and GS-T? huh... must be loosing my mind.

Okay Im from Iowa and we dont have emission testing.(atleast thats to my knowledge *wink*wink) Is it safe to just remove and drill out the cat or modify it some way with a straight pipe, and then reinstall it??? Will I get much out of this or is it just a lot of work. 97 RS, Iceman CAI, Mozart 5" muff... Im not worried about the cops just my engine...

GST cat is different. The flange to the downpipe is at a different angle. Has to be cut and re-welded. I have a 2.5" cat from Extreme Motorsports. Its just a generic cat with true 2.5" openings.

is it still possible to shoot flames out the exhaust if you have a high flow cat versus a test pipe (i know, i know). I mean with the use of a rev limiter like I have on my bike.

Did some checking, and it looks like airmass makes a bolt on high flow cat for our cars, that is if the info I got is correct.

About the flames from the exhaust, I doubt it. That would defenitely cook the cat, and it would probably snuff out the flames before they reached the muffler.

"cook the cat" I like mine rare with pork fried rice :)
