People, please remember that these are high performance clutches and should not be drivin like a stock clutch. You honestly need to launch at every green light. Slipping the clutch around town is not a good thing for these clutches. They aren't ment to slip.

I think you're right, I had a feeling that was what caused my clutch to fail so soon. Regardless I'm going witha non mod set up to save money down the line.

Bullshit. If it weren't meant to slip, it wouldn't be sprung hub. Three of four people kills these things from overheating and glazing them, likely due to oil contamination, and suddenly it's not a streetable clutch that has to be launched from every light? Completely wrong. I have 20K on my stage 4, and i drive it exactly like a stock clutch. it's fine. I just don't slip the shit out of it when i launch at the track, because that WILL kill it. Sidestep the clutch at the light and go, don't sit there and try to modulate your clutch to reduce wheelspin.

You can slip it just fine. Just don't overdo it. Don't sit there and ride the clutch.

One thing most people fail to realize is because of the fact it is a ceramic disk, even if you glaze it and it starts to slip under power, you can baby it around for a while with minimal slippage and wear most of the glaze off. I've had to do this with mine once before, due to oil contamination, and i've never had a problem with it holding power.

^^ That's just what I wanted to hear Dino, sweet... I was scared I just did a rear main to fix it and the clutch would be too glazed from the oil... I guess I will cross fingers and grandma her around for a little while
