110750, Headers Posted by Nemo, Nov-30-08 10:23 PM
ok, I threw on some Alpha Werks headers and now my car doesn't warm up in two blocks like it used to. More like 3 miles now. The problem is that running cold with a richer air/fuel mixture trips my check engine light blaming my o2 sensor which I know is good. Any clues, suggestions? Should I wrap the header pipes? ???????....hmmmm

Yes. Wrap all the headers... ALL of them.

guess you didn't catch on so i'll come out and say it. he was being sarcastic...our cars only have a single header. i don't know how wrapping the header will help warm the car up faster...:shrug but i know header wrap keeps engine bay temps down. i could be wrong though

You could wrap the header, but truth be told there is something else wrong with your car - if anything.
Aftermarket exhaust will not inhibit the heating up of your engine.
