11006, GST Muffler is in! Posted by Mystic511, Dec-30-01 04:51 AM
So i finally got the stock muffler out by twisting it in every possible fashion until it just plopped on the ground. If you were to ask me to do it again, i probably wouldn't be able to.
Getting the GST muffler in, I had to undo the swaybar and again, twist the muffler in such a way that it just managed to squeeze by.
I like the muffler so far. The car feels (just a tiny bit) more responsive. It also now makes a 'VROOOM' sound instead of a 'vrooom'. Yes, i wasted so much gas just flooring it all over the place yesterday.
Took pics of everything, i'll post when i get a chance.
Happy new Years everyone!

now, when you get over being a lead foot all the time, you should notice your gas mileage improve a little bit. Mine did, if I remember correctly, about 1-2 mpg.

Hell when I had that thing I always found myself pushing the car just to hear the exhaust. You definitely wont be setting off car alarms with it. Im glad your enjoying it though man.

But, now when you want to upgrade to an aftermarket exhaust, you can just cut the sucker off (unless you want to sell it).
