109974, rough start up idle Posted by xlr82x, Sep-10-08 01:58 AM
Hey guys I have been having this problem with my car ever since I had the cam sensor replaced. I will start the car and it will seem fine but then dips down to a rough idle. I usually encourage it go back up to 1500-2000 range till it warms up then it runs just fine.. If I drive it for a long while, it some times dies out of no where if I push the clutch in. Does anyone have an idea what the problem is with this car? I did do a search but couldn't find anything really.. I do appreciate your help.

Come on guys i know someone knows or had this problem before. Things I plan on doing this weekend are the following: Check IAC Check MAP Check Coolant Levels And Check the O2 Sensor Bank 1.
Does anyone else know of anything else that I would need to check?

Sounds like everything to me. Other things i would check is...
CEL's - saves a shit load of headaches, i dont bother with my sensors unless the ohms are way off or the ecu spits out a code or something.
I'm assuming your turbo - fuel management, what fmu are you using along with your turbo and where is the fuel pressure at. Sounds like your running pig rich at idle. If you dont have a safc to cut fuel at then it will continue to do this till the ecu gets use to the richness. U should be fine without one, but your 02 wont like it too much, lol
Vac leaks - I reed somewhere around 18-20hg's. I wouldn't go by what the gauge saiz because there could easily be a leak in another area that's routed diff.
Just my .02...
