What mods give you the most hp gain w/o forced induction? How much of a gain and how much money?

I'd say a head kit.. but I don't know if they make head kits for eclipses.. since I don't own one I haven't looked.. but two companies make head kits for the zx2 I drive and one of them gets a gain of about 58HP (at the crank.. and that's not a gain at the peak, it's actually later when the HP starts dropping off in the high RPM's that it has the 58HP gain.)

i would say afs udp. 160$, and dyno proven 10-12 whp gain.

intake 50-200$ 3-8 whp gain?

exhaust 160-xxx$ 5-10 whp gain?

or u could squeeze 50 or 75 ponies into her for 500 dukkets

Dyno proven 10 to 12 hp for the afx? Where's the dyno charts? Has anyone dyno'd it on an eclipse? I doubt I got 10 to 12 hp from it.

i think darkone(dino) stated that the afx udp had gains of what i mentioned above. please correct me if im wrong

It was dyno'd on a neon I believe but someone was saying that the gains should actually be greater than the Neon but I forget why.....

There is a dyno chart for it too.

My main question is how come AFX doesn't just spend 75 bucks to dyno it on an eclipse (especially if the gains are greater). I know most companies like to have actual charts for each application to show the results.

Actually Howell dyno'd it at 11-15 HP on a neon. Gary has stated in the past that the gains should be greater for the 2GNT because our stock pulley is actually heavier than the stock neon pulley.

haha yeah the pulley makes the car more responsive, but after a while you kinda don't notice the power gain anymore :P
