109933, Flex-A-Lite 220 vs 210? Posted by Agas, Sep-04-08 07:43 AM
Hey again, I searched for this over the past few days and couldnt find the answer im looking for. I saw on summit that the FAL 220 dual fans are nearly the same price as the 210 single fan, anyone know the reason for this? will the 220 fit a 99 GS stock radiator without too much modification? how difficult is the wiring for it?

I would prefer from someone who has actually installed them...I don't want to buy something that wont fit

i have the 220 installed on my fluidyne. wiring in and modifying the fan shrouds is not hard. the only thing you'll have to modify is brackets to the fans'll bolt to the radiator, and cut U-shaped cutouts on the fan shroud itself so you'll have clearance for the upper/lower radiator hoses/clamps.
there's another post i've bookmarked in the past about how to wire it, i'll have to find it. try searching for that in the mean time
