im in fl and the cars in va. the car has been missing for sometime. it started trying to die at idle i took the idle air motor out and cleaned it along with the intake and tb seemed to help some. then it started missing alot and seemed to have no power. we change the fuel filter no luck. the other day she got mad and floored it to get up a hill the cel (43) came on and the car ran fine. this lasted until today her dad came and changed the coil pack all was good ran smooth. then he changed the plugs one at a time. when they started the car it flooded and you had to hold wide open to get to start. when started it pores black smoke and revs very high too high for a while. if you drive it when the smoke goes away and it runs fine. but when you start it again it floods and pores smoke. they are the correct plugs. what happened to the car it has had 200K great mile with loving care. sorry so long just want to give all info.

Kinda sounds like a bad injector - dumping gas. If you floor it as you're trying to start it, it goes into "flood clear" mode, and won't shoot any fuel. That lets it start on the fuel that's already been dripping in, as it'll flood out if you try starting normally with the extra fuel.
