ok so after like 30 miles on the new engine my light came on. pulled the codes.

Bank 1 running too rich. egr/cat/o2 sensor/something else but forgot.

so what could this be? i just replaced the o2 sensor twice, its not the cat since i dont have one and i blocked off my egr. i didnt check the vac lines yet but will tomorrow. the wiring for the o2 sensor is fine. new egr? any other ideas what might cause this?

oh btw i just replaced the o2 sensor and the cel hasn't came back on yet.

If your egr is blocked off and you didn't do the resister mod to the plug you will get a cel for the egr not being there. you will also see a cel for the cat no being there. Ive always found peace in seeing that light. It's when it went out that i began to worry.

agreed. I've thought about changing the color of the light or something just so that it's not so obnoxiously bright. the only time mine goes out is when I disconnect the battery.

hmm ok so my dad reattached it. no cel yet. now theres the problem where like every 3 secs my car's rpms drops to like 500 and chuggs then comes back up to normal. then does it again. its like a cycle. i maybe thought bad timing? also we adjusted both cams 3 degrees.

could be as easy as a vac leak. Mine does that when my iat sensor is un pluged? far reach but figured id throw that in there. has it always done this or is it something new? what have you done lately to the car? I believe if your timing is off it will throw a code as well but im not 100% certin as ive never had a timing issue with mine.

well it still throws the code. idle isnt the best and comes close to still stalling when idling but once driving its fine. no leaks checked that. im still running rich. my mods on my engine are 8.8:1 je pistons, eagle rods, crane cams,crane springs, and obx cam gears. what i think cause of im running rich is my engine is dumping too much fuel in? not forsure. more thoughts?
