109282, Pleased with Jeep Throttle Body? Posted by stillettoDSM, Jul-09-08 06:14 AM
Here's a Question directed towards those of you who have swapped out their 2GNT Throttle Body for the Jeep (preferably 60mm) Throttle Body. How do you guys like it? I'm considering it, and everything I've found so far while searching, is pretty much the Write-Up, over and over agian. I'm looking for Personal Reviews I guess. Thanks.

I was happy with it. The only problem I had was the spring set-up. I ended up putting in an extra return spring.

Yeah. I love it.
It takes a bit of fine tuning to get it to idle correctly and such, but its worth it.
Great throttle response, a DEFINITE increase in power. Wont take too long.

I did it on my new motor so I dont know about a power increase. It seems the turbo spools a little faster and more easily now. Now the bad is that I never got the return spring figured out so there is a small bungy cord helping close the throttle right now. Also the car has never idled correctly since I put it on. It surges around 2k when rolling and when stopped it idles at 1200 sometimes or either about 950rpms. Tried 2 different IACs and same thing happens. Im starting to think its my fuel setup with the 440s and causing the weird problems. Once megasquirt gets on maybe it will help. Over all please with the bigger TB.
