109135, Transmission Posted by TotalEclipse21, Jun-25-08 11:25 AM
I have a 1999 GS and, for some odd reason, I got a hole in my tranny. I heard a weird grinding sound for a while before it happened and didn't think it would turn out that i needed to buy another tranny. The hole looks like it came from outside the tranny. My dad thinks I tore a gear out, but I think it was the fluid I put in it( the stuff from AutoZone). I was just wanting to know what would have caused this. Thank you

I'm gonna have to say this

the area of the hole will give you an idea of what failed and popped out the trans.

Ain't that the same pin that has been known to go right through the block? If it is he got lucky.
I put a write up about the auto tranny so dude might wanna take a look at it before he decides what to do.
