Hmmm.. so I replaced the valve cover gasket yesterday and when I went out to look at it while I'm waiting for the sealant to dry, I noticed I forgot to put the washers back on that go in b/w the bolts and the rubber pieces on the valve cover. I am assuming they're pretty necessary or the factory wouldn't have put them on. Anyone know any tricks so I don't have to buy a new gasket set. Can I pull one bolt at a time or is that gonna mess up the torque on the bolts, etc.? Any advice would be appreciated. Moral of this story is to always check and double check any work done on the car, I'm just glad I noticed this before I started to drive around.

I would wait for it to dry and then, pull one out put one it, repeat. u only have to silicone a few small spot, so I dont think it will be a problem.

let dry and pull one, install washer, torque then do the next one. do them in the order that they should be torqued in, not just in a circle

Thanks for the input yall. I was hoping I could do that but I wanted to hear some second opinions. I'd rather spend another 25 bucks on new gasket set than ruin the motor if it had've been necessary. I'll let yall know how it works tonight.

I have reused valve cover gaskets plenty of times. Its no big deal.

Some days you shouldn't pick up a wrench. Fa show.

Like they all said, no worries on it. Assuming you got the right VC gasket, the thick, rubber job, you can remove and re-install a dozen times if you want. The only risk to the engine comes from it leaking long term and your not keeping tabs on oil level.

Ok, we're all good now. Drove fine yesterday w/ no leaks. I had found a small section poking out the back when I went to replace the washers. Rain clouds were headed in and it was getting dark so I rushed when I should have been double-checking things before I tightened them down. But anyways, I took yalls advice and reused the gasket w/ some blue sealant and it worked fine. And BTW, ceramic duplicolor yellow looks like ass and anyone wanting to color their vc should definitely spend the money on powdercoating, I will be soon. The paint may hold up to high temp and oil but it chipped in a couple of spots on reinstallation. Sorry for the long post but I wanted to say thanks for everyone's quick input.
