I am having trouble removing the timing sprocket. The 3 holes are way to small for any of the bolts that come in the kit. The valve cover bolts screw into it!!! It says your supposed to use m8x1.0 Any ideas?

I use a harmonic balancer puller, and get 4" long M8x1.0 bolts(hardware store), then use like 4-5 washers on each bolt. Use progressively increasing sized washers for each one. You want a small washer closest to the bolt head, then keep going up in size to a larger one that covers the hole on the puller. You must do this or the bolt will bend the washer or even pull through the puller hole. When you thread in the bolts to the crank gear, be sure the puller sits perfectly even/parallel with the crank gear so it puts even tension on the pulley. I used the crankshaft pulley bolt threaded into the crank for the puller's bolt to push agaisnt. Done it this exact way more times than i can think.

problem is M8x1.0 Is way to big doesnt even come close to threading in. The tap set I have claims there M6x1.0.

Oh yeah, they are M6x1.0..it's been a while, sorry about that

I didn't have long enough ones when I did mine, so I welded a 1/4"x2" head the the head of a ~2.5" M6x1.0mm... kinda made a stud set, works great.

Ace hardware carries m6 X1.0. thats where i got mine ages ago.

I drilled the holes and retapped for a bolt size I had then just replaced the gear since it's so cheap
