woohoo, i just got my hands on a GST muffler, so i'm going to attempt to install that ish with my friend tomorrow (if it's not too cold).

I read the write up, so i think i'm straight. Any tips or things I should keep in mind while i'm goin at it?

I'll try to take some pics too.

The stock RS/GS muffler is kind of hard to get off, at least it was for me. I had to really work the muffler to get it off. One thing that did help was after I had the car jacked up (and on stands), I also took another jack and jacked up the the back drivers-side hub (or whatever you call the unit the rim mounts to, it's late).

If you jack the rear end up its pretty easy.

Now, look at the new GS-t muff you got. Is there any rust on the threads on the connecting plate. If so it would be a great idea to clean all of the rust off before the install. That was the only problem I had when installing my GS-T muff. But other then that its easy. Also its a good idea to get a new gasket as well. Have fun!!

Its really not that bad of an install. Its a little uncomforatable working on your back in your garage but its not too bad. Just spray the shit out of the bolts on your old muffler with liquid wrench and you should be fine.
