I am have an Engine start problem with a 95 420a. It seems that the ASD relay isnt kicking on. It does not have spark when cranking, but if I dont jump the relay I get spark. But I am still not getting fuel pressure.

It has a new cam sersor on it so I dont suspect that as the reason for no spark. Suposedly the ECU has also been pulled and tested I was told.

Should I track down the Crank sensor/wiring? If the crank sensor was bad would I still be able to get spark by jumping the coil pack? Also where is the crank sensor?

Should I track down the wiring between the ASD relay and the ECU?

It seems like it wants to go if we can get fuel pressure, but I dont want to just drive around with a jumped ASD relay all the time.

No fuel pressure seems indicative that either your Fuel pump, wiring, or fuel pump relay are bad. The fuel pump should prime even when you turn the key to the on position and you should be able to hear it prime if you cycle the key.
Crank sensor is on the back of the block.
Cam Sensor is on the drivers side of the head.

Well, I played with it some more, It dosent seem to prime when I turn the key, but I did check the relay and is good. THe wiring signal between the ECU and the relay are good along with the relay to pump wiring. I can jump the fuel pump straight off the battery and listen to it prime the system.

Maybe the ECU is toasted. What the parameters for fuel pump to kick on. Key on = fuel prime for 2sec~? Then start/cranking fuel pump on for duration? Aslo what are the conditions for turning the ASD relay on?

Im use to the 90s 4g63 system so Im not familar with the chrysler systems.
