108534, Engine Swap...

I have a 98 eclipse gs with an engine that is wearing out, (smoke, burning small amounts of oil, walls worn, etc), I have plans to do alot of work to the car over the next few years, and found a 2.2l stroker crate engine from Howell Automotive that looks really good, already built with forged internals, larger displacement, 8.6:1 compression ratio, etc. (rated to 800hp, although thats way beyond realistic for a FWD) My only question is the engine is shipped without oil pan or cylinder head. What kind of cost am I looking at to get the head up to speed with the rest of the engine, I would buy ARP studs and a high quality gasket for when I have it installed, but i don't know what kind of force the stock head can take...
My plans over the next year or two include turbocharging with a hahn stage II turbo kit, exhaust etc, and I would like to be able to run psi in the twenties if I ever brought it to a track... Basically, what can the stock head take, and how much is it gonna run me to get it up to speed?

stock head + Crower 2's, springs and retainers, and some adjustable cam gears = 400-600 depending
you can sometimes find the crowers on here for a good price, and the head can be found from a bunch of people parting cars out.

stock head is pretty much bullet proof and flows very well (designed by Lotus) save some money aside for a nice port and polish and she'll be good to go just fine.

make sure you budget money for your fuel setup and engine management too

Dave, our head flows like a plugged up asshole! Get a good port 'N polish by someone reputable (that has a flwo bench).
