Like the subject said, I only get the CEL when the engine is running. When the engine is off and I cycle the key to "on" the CEL goes off. Also with the engine running I can hear a knocking/clapping noise (not loud, but noticable) coming from the left side of the engine (as you look at it from the front).
My question is would anyone have experience with this problem? Or, does anyone know what steps I should take to examine the issue.
Any input would be great!

As it should. Search on the main page for "key dance" if you're 95-97, and see what the code is.
