108391, Two Sensors On Back Of Block Posted by teklein, Apr-12-08 04:56 AM
Hey,
I have an oil leak for a week now and just put it on a lift to see what it was.
It is spraying out of the two sensors on the back of the block.
I just wanted confirmation of what these were.
The one on the left is the oil pressure sending unit? The one on the right is the knock sensor?
Thanks!

The knock sensor will not leak oil.... The oil sensor will...

Very true. There is a third sensor back there though. Your Crank sensor is also back there on the far right near the alternator and that could be leaking as well.

Ok, thanks for the info!
The OPSU is on the left, the (Im gonna go with knock sensor) is DIRECTLY across from the OPSU on the right.
So it is the knock sensor correct? Trying to remember from my Neons, cam sensor is no where near that... I think!

Far left is OPSU, middle is knock, far right above the oil filter is the crank angle sensor. This is laying under the car, head towards the rear, looking up.
