After months of waiting for my parts from Howell, I finally got them all. I'm assembling the motor as we speak. Here's what's going in to it:

Block
- Callies Stroker Crank
- JE.040 8.8:1 Pistons (JE rings)
- Eagle Rods
- New main and rod bearings
- ARP Main Studs
- Melling High Volume Oil Pump

Head
- Crane number 14 cams
- Crane springs with titanium retainers
- Stainless steel valves std. size
- AEM cam gears
- ARP Head Studs
- PT Cruiser lifters and rockers

The head and block have both been deck and I had a three angle valve job with a minor port and polish.

Now all I need to do is get a turbo kit.

nice set up. i'd go ahead and put the engine in while you get funds or whatever for the turbo system. that way you can break it in and have it ready for boost :)

exactly what I plan to do, although i should have the money within the next few months. Graduation and that check from the government should help out with that.

You will like it. I had one in mine, built BY Howell. I had a long wait also, but it was a great engine.

I'll have pics posted of soon of what I have done and what is going to happen. Almost all the work done to this motor was done by me so hopefully it will make me proud.

Just a quick question. How long exactly did it take to get all your parts because I just ordered the howell 2.2 stroker short block today from them and am hoping I get it by summer.

If it takes longer then what it says on the website, call them and tell them you are going to get the better business buruea (spell check) involved and you can even get free shit out of it. I got an underdrive pulley haha.

Bureau. Be ready to fight those guys tooth and nail for anything. I ordered a set of cam gears about a month ago, paid for over night shipping. Still waiting... One thing is certain, I wouldn't deal with them again.

Looking good. :thumbsup Looks like you've got a hell of a cozy shop. I had to put my motor together in a broken ass shed that was freezing. Motor looks nice though.

It was actually my machine shop at school. Pretty nice place. I got to all the work myself so hopefully its a pretty satisfing project.
