107485, Oil pressure question

Hey, just got the car running and I am not sure if it's the oil pressure gauge or the pump somehow. I started the car and the oil pressure was good, and then it just went to 0. I have a ractive oil pressure gauge (electronic) Is there any way to check and see if I have good oil pressure without an oil pressure gauge? Or am I just stuck until I get a working one? Thanks.

Okay, to add to it, I think this might be the problem. I am not sure how oil pressure sending units work for an electric oil pressure gauge, so help me out here. When I was putting the wire on the back of the sending unit, the stud that comes out the back of the sending unit stripped, does that automatically mean that the sending unit is now broken? I am hoping so. Also, I have a brand new Melling oil pump, the high flow one. What are the chances of a brand new meeling pump failing? I know there's a first for everything though... Please let me know your thoughts.

if you are making no oil pressure, your motor would have already failed. You have a bad gauge and/or sending unit.

I popped the valve cover off and turned it over, oil is coming out of the lashers, so, that should be registering on the gauge and it's not, so, the sending unit is broken. Car runs great. The only wierd thing is... I have no lope at idle and I have crower 2's. Strange. I had crower 2's before at 8.8:1 comp and had a lope, now I have 10.5:1 and no lope, would that change it? Hmm.
