1061, oil filler cap ques?????? Posted by Deze2g, Apr-23-01 02:28 PM
Well, a few months ago i made an order from carparts.com, i had a 50% off over $200 coupon, so to put it over $200 i got an oil cap, well it didn't fit, so i ordered a new one from obx which didn't fit either. Maybe i'm just an idiot, but my oil cap has threads and the ones i keep getting have a lock type piece that looks like it just twists and snaps, no threads. I wrote carparts.com, and obx and they said it was the universal mitsubishi pattern. What does everyone else's look like? Deze

that's because we don't have mitsubishi motors. we have Chrysler motors wich take generic oil caps (the type that come on hondas)
Bring it on............

Slightly diff Oil Cap Q -
Does anyone know of any replacement caps that are thinner? With my strut bar installed, I can't remove the oil cap without removing the bar first...
I'm worried over time, even with the right torquing, the alignment or suspension is going to have problems over time.

LAST EDITED ON 24-Apr-01 AT 11:03 AM (PST)I have an OBX one form (www.modacar.com) for a Honda. It fits perfectly and comes out easily with my strut bar in place.
Yeah, the first one I got was a push and twist T locke kind. That's for a 4G63 engine. Anything that fits a Honda should fit ours.
