You really can't because the intake isn't thick enough to port out to 60mm. The most you can do is about 57mm if I am remembering correctly.

true, but cleaning the edges and getting things as close as possible makes every bit of difference. still much better than the rough ~45mm I've seen

Port match. Match the opening of the intake to the opening of the TB. Then taper down the throat of the intake so as not to go through. What you are doing is removing the "step blockage" (I just made that term up :P ). This allows the air to flow smoothly into the plenum without hitting that hard step at the intake to TB joint. Causes less interference.

Yes, it will work. Like Bullett said, you will want to feather the step as it goes into the intake plenum....or you can go for tha' supa' cool new and unimproved whistling throttle body by just slapping the TB right on the intake :thumbsup
