Do you think if I have the kit I will pass a California Smog test?

If all of your emissions equipment is in tact and your car is properly tuned, you should pass any sniffer tests. BTW the cat conv is the most important piece of pollution limiting equipment on the car. EGR, EVAP, and PCV are very minor.
