Hey, im looking to get a bit faster acceleration out of my 1997 talon esi. So far ive got a CAI and a better muffler, ive got another tb, and plan to do the jeep tb mod this weekend. Ive got about 250$ to spend(my tight student budget) and am wondering what the next best bang for the buck mod would be. Im thinking of getting some better motor mounts and a high flow cat(of just a gutted cat), but im not to sure. would there be a better place to spend my tiny ammount of spending money? If not where would be the best place to get motor mounts online?(that will ship to canada) Ive also thought about getting the afx ecu, but ive heard mixed reviews and the price is a bit high right now. Also, id like to get a new underdrive pully, but dont have the tools to put it on until i get back to school and can use the shop tools. this car is my DD, so i cant have it out of commision for any ammount of time.

well if your thinking of going turbo in the future then there are a few things you might want to get that wont be replaced outright if you go turbo.

you mentioned the UDP good idea, quick and easy gains

motor mounts are good (dont make you go faster though :9 )
if you dont have the funds to get the solid AFX front mount and the Prothane set, you can go with the Urathane filling method. couple buck and some elbow greese and its a nice compramise between stock and Prothane

on the rare side of parts you could grab a MSnS
now before people freak out on me let me explain.
if you plan on going turbo in the future this is a no brainer, you can mess with it and get it all hammered out and be used to it in stock trim then you can start tuning it with a few add ons as you get more money for parts.
ie. getting a set of Crower-2 cams and staying NA will yield good numbers, and you can still use the stage 2's when you go turbo
with the MSnS you can tune the best gains out of the 60mm TB you mentioned.

as your on a tight budget, id definatly be looking at parts your gonna keep in the long run when you go turbo. trust me, nothing pisses ya off more then tossing a shiny part because it wasent compatable with another upgrade.

last thing
PLAN out your whole project with the parts you WANT, then do not settle for inferrior parts just because there cheaper. as a lot of people will tell you, some projects here have taken YEARS to build because they wouldnt settle for "other" parts.
i know i have waited through 6 months of paychecks just to get the turbo i wanted. and it felt sooo good to open that box and see the EXACT part i dreamed of.
