Hey guys... Well I need a head... badly! Just a head, not cams, Just the head with good valves and springs... thats it... I bent a valve on my 97 and I need my car back since I just sold my GT to pay off half my bills. What car's can I look for? I already found a 96 Talon with a full block... but, 176k miles... What Options can I take to get a new head on my car using U Pull It? Dodge Avenger, Sebring? Neon at all? (I know the exhaust intake thing... anyway around it? nah? I am going to grab me a neon valve cover while I'm at it and sand blast her down to have it powder coated. So what else can I grab while I'm there?

I never bothered to have built up since I already had one in the works. Includes the oh-so-important matched cam caps and bolts. As-is.

If you stay with the U-Pull it option look for an Avenger or a Sebring. As long as the t-belt isn't broken it will probably be ok. I would pull the head off the car and bring it to a machine shop. I bent 10 valves and it cost me $330 to have the head cleaned up and rebuilt.

I need a head with valves, my head itself is fine! I just have bent valves and I dont have 300 bucks for valves right now... I just need a used stock head. U Pull it I can get one for 35 bucks with valves...

Ahh. Then I would go that route and pull the head off a 2gnt, Avenger or Sebring and slap it on my car.

So as far as fully stock, there's no cheap upgrades I can do while I do this from another car? I just wanna know before I go.

Not that I know. I'm pretty sure the casting and cams are all the same.

Mwahahaha! that head is sitting in my closet! :P While you are at it just get it P&Ped, thats what I'm going to do. Maybe get your Tb and intake mani opened to 55mm?
