OK I bought a car yesterday with hopes of it making me a little dough so I can finish some other projects I have going.

Now the kid I bought it off of told me that he had the motor rebuilt with bigger pistons and a bored over 30 block...also stated that the injectors are bigger..

Now I'm almost possitive he lied about the injectors...how can I catch him on the block without tearing the motor down?

recipts? talk to the shop who did it?
other then that i cant think of anything other then tearing the head off

ask him what the compression ratio should be. then do a compression test

Just a theory here but it might be worth a shot.

Do a keydance on it. If you get the CELs for the injectors, chances are they have been upgraded. Unless of course he has erased those CELs.

Just ask him where he had all the machine work done

Drop the oil pan and look up into the cylinders for ID on the bottom of the pistons. Rods should look fairly new if replaced, pistons should look new.
