pulled the codes, only two were valid codes, it said that the otther two didn't exist, the code that did come up said that it was the IAC but it's fine. car still runs normal, i just wanna know what would cause this.

What is "it?" :wary
Not enough information to even make a guess, man. If you've got a code for IAC, then there is something wrong with either the IAC or the harness connecting it to the ECU. Car might run alright, but that doesn't mean there isn't anything wrong with the IAC.

nevermind, ended up being a ground that hit the positive side of the battery, should always check stuff when you get a used car, huh? changed the battery and the CEL went off, car was fine
