104894, Car sounds horrible! Posted by 99blackclipse, Jun-22-07 07:06 PM
First let me say sorry for posting so many threads today I probably havnt even posted alot but it feels like i have. Anyway...
So I got my o2 sensors from a member here and the sensor to the header was squared where its supposed to plug into the other plug so it wouldnt fit. The stock plugs are round so I didnt know what to do. I ended up splicing the wires and connecting the wires i thought were supposed to be together with eachother making the new sensor head attached to the old wire that would plug in. Im pretty sure i didnt do it right and when i started the car it made the worst noise ever! I literally sounded like it was about to explode so right away i turned the car off. I turned it back on a lil later and let it idle for a minute and it idled at 1 or a lil above then i took it down the street to see if it felt any different. The car WONT go any faster then 20mph and it even hesitates to get to the 20mph mark the car feels like its jumpy and the CEL is still on. Whats wrong with my car? I know this might not be the best description but please ask me questions that hopefully i can answer to make it clearer.
sorry if this has been long but thanks for reading.
And thanks for any replys!
