i want to upgrade my engine with forged pistions and eagle rod but how do i look for the right rods. i'm getting the H beam eagle rods but what do i have to look for for the sizing of the rods. i look at info on them but there talking about. this is what im looking at. i put the space things cuz the tons of Q's can be an eye soar, sorry.

what does the specs mean. what does Bushed Fit Pins - Full Floating mean<--->another thing, what does .826" Piston pin mean, will i have to find a piston that has the same pin size :scratch and what dose B.E Width 1.032 mean the size of the crank shaft<---> what the hell does this stand for 1.889" Crank Pin<---> this is the rod length of the eagle rod(5.472" Rod Length), what is the stock rod length will this be fine. One more thing what does Stroker Design for up to 3.800 stroke crankshafts mean, the rods can handle up to a 3.8L like if i want to get a stroker kit and make it a 2.?L

i know that the piston has to be the right bore size when i get it but i just dont know what to do about the rods. i know this is a lot to ask but :bowdown HELP!!!! tell me what i need to do, like take the block to a shop and get what measured.....THANKS GUYS :thumbsup

Dont worry about all of that stuff unless you are really interested in terminology or really want to memmorize all the different clearances. Many engine builders and tuners will upgrade things like full floating pins for reduced friction and better oil flow. They will enlarge certain clearences also for similar reasons, this often happens when taking into consideration what type of power adder you use. It goes for a lot of things like ring gap, main bearing clearances, piston pins etc. Theres numerous tricks out there for different combination to increase engine life, configure for certain RPM, configure for certain power adders. The only two things you should be concerned with is whether to go long rod, or standard length. Just look up by application on eagles site or any other companies. Long rod benefits are heavily discussed somewhere here. Hope that helps.
